Education & Experience
Dave took private drum lessons with the late Kirk Hoffman, local drum pro and music educator, and acquired a solid foundation along with a deep love and respect for the craft of drumming. Dave continued his music education at Mesa College where he studied music theory, played in the Jazz Big Band, began giving private drum lessons and began playing gigs both at the college and around town. In 2001Dave auditioned at SDSU and began playing in their top Jazz Big Band where he got to accompany guest artists such as Herbie Mann, Bobby Shew, Don Menza, and local legend Christopher Holliday. 

Teaching Credits
From 2009-2020, Dave worked for Paul Effman Music Service teaching band at seven K-8 Catholic Schools in the greater San Diego area. This job required Dave to develop basic skills on Flute, Trumpet, Sax, Clarinet, Trombone, and Violin. He also learned classroom management skills, served 100 students in seven schools, and helped start an Honor Band Program. 

About ME
Dave Pschaida is a San Diego born Drummer and Music Teacher. His love for music began at an early age listening to his parents albums. Everything from Thelonius Monk to The Police. Dave’s passion for drumming and music continues. He currently plays and records music around town with some of San Diego’s finest musicians and offers private drum instruction at Barefoot Studios in Poway.

Methods Used
Lessons are catered to the students skills and interest. Method books are chosen on an individual basis.
