Methods Used

In my teaching, I believe there is no single perfect method book for every student. A strong teacher can adapt and make most method books effective by focusing on teaching musical concepts rather than rigidly following a set curriculum. I commonly use Alfred, Faber, and Bastien method books, selecting based on the student’s needs and learning style. I also supplement with other materials as needed to reinforce specific concepts or skills.

Teacher’s Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is a language, emphasizing the development of skills in reading, improvising, composing, and understanding music theory and history. I tailor private lesson curriculum to fit each student’s individual strengths, needs, and interests, ensuring a personalized and engaging learning experience. For both private and group curriculum, students learn how to play, read, compose, and improvise, with music theory and history incorporated as needed.
